Flushing our ancient forests

Have you made the simple switch to using recycled paper/tissue products in your home and office? This is a must do folks! Here’s why…

One of the major threats to Canada’s Boreal ecosystem is clearcut logging to make disposable products such as toilet paper and facial tissue. Almost 80 per cent of the Earth’s original forests have already been degraded or completely destroyed, making the protection of our Boreal forest all the more important.

We need these forests to sustain our essential life support systems.

Many eco-friendly alternatives to tissue products made from ancient forests are available today. Tissue products made from 100 per cent recycled paper already exist and can be bought at most major grocery, health food, and corner stores. Please… make the switch… NOW!

Hi from New Zealand. I just discovered your blog a few days ago and have enjoyed browsing through it.
Thanks for the groovy diapers link… although I can’t get them here… what a great idea, and very cute. We use modern cloth diapers (”nappies” ;) for environmental reasons, and because it is just so much nicer, softer and cuter than disposables.
