Filipino inmates practice their dance steps for the ‘Together in Electric Dreams’ song, a carefully chosen homage to the inmates’ fans, at the Cebu Provincial and Rehabilitation Center in Cebu city, central Philippines. In their identical orange prison uniforms, up to 1,500 march and clap in unison as they perform precision dance routines with the Village People’s ‘In the Navy’ and ‘YMCA’ pounding from six well-worn black speakers. Their version of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ has been watched nearly 4.4 million times on YouTube.

oh my gush, you know the male dancers in this web reminds me of my counsis when we were very little when i was living in the philippines. we use to do the same thing. always learning cultural dances and out own routine. i thing its nice that guys do it too, not just the girls. i showed the picture to some of my high schoo friend and they asked me if the male danceres were GAY! i told then no and that they were as crazy as hell. but we just laugh. i really think that its very nich to dance filipino cultural dances too with the girls. you keep more tradition that way. always marilou
