Today I’m calling for members to blog a “letter to my body” and link to the post using Mr Linky. You can also blog your letter on BlogHer (select the Letter to My Body topic) and it will feed directly into the BlogHer Letter To My Body widget we’re creating.
I promise to do my bit but i need to muster up a little courage… will you too?
I’ve been down…
for far too long…
til my faith was nearly gone…
I never knew somebody just like you…
could be a friend I could call my own…
Til I let go of a broken heart…
I let go to an open heart…
I let go of my broken dreams…
I let go to the mystery and…
I believe in the miracle…
I believe in the spiritual…
I believe in the one above…
I believe in the one I love…
And take one step closer to you…
I just take one step closer to you…
Even when I’ve fallen down…
My heart says follow through…
I take one step closer to you
I never meant to hurt you no…
and you never meant to hurt me too…
but it seems like we always do…
and even though I’m scared sometimes…
If I ever see you fallin down…
I’ll be the one that’s there for you
Let go of a broken heart…
I let go to an open heart…
I let go of my broken dreams…
I let go to the mystery…
and I believe in the miracle…
I believe in the spiritual…
I believe in the one above…
I believe in the one I love
I’m walkin…
I keep on walkin to you…
say we walkin on the streets of life…
got to walk and talk with me right..Uh Huh
And I’m never gonna stop…
No… Keep on walkin sweet baby
On Gambling
To a frog that’s never left it’s pond the ocean seems like a gamble. Look what he is giving up: security, mastery of his world, recognition! The ocean frog just shakes his head. “I can’t really explain what it’s like where I live, but someday I’ll take you there.”
If you want what visible reality
can give, you’re an employee.
If you want the unseen world
you’re not living your truth.
Both wishes are foolish,
but you’ll be forgiven for forgetting
that what you really want is
love’s confusing joy.
Gamble everything for love,
if your a true human being.
If not, leave
this gathering.
Half-heartedness doesn’t reach
into majesty. You set out to
find god, but then you keep
stopping for long periods.
at mean-spirited road houses.
In a boat down a fast-running creek,
it feels like the trees on the bank
are rushing by. What seems
to be changing around us
is rather the speed of our craft
leaving this world.
